Looking for information about Peter Byrne. Gravestone in New Britain, Connecticut, USA:

Peter Byrne born in Ballyhade County Kildare Ireland Died in Newington October 18 1866 aged 62 May he rest in peace Amen There is more writing at the bottom of Peter Byrne's grave that is unreadable.  

Married Catherine Whalen (1828-1906 - daughter of Matthew and Julia Whalen). May have been a second marriage.   

Could anyone help us determine which parish he would have been in? Thank you
