Since Athy is not listed under Kildare-is it possible Athy went by a different name? I have a record found on roots ireland site and it does list Athy as Parish/Distict (1869)but I can not find Athy on this site???

  • HI sir athy is not listed as a civil parish thats why it is not listed on this website. It is actually  a catholic parish i will post you a link to the catholic parish and you mite be able to find it there good luck.

     

    ROMAN CATHOLIC:Most Catholic records are held locally - One site which might be of use is -http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/browse/ - where you can ?browse? an overview of availablerecords per county. If you have any difficulty, you could try writing to the parish priest for possibleassistance.
