My Great grandfather was called Patrick Lawson, born in Leixlip Co. Kildare in 1869
He moved to Birkenhead Merseyside and married Florence Lever Nov 23rd 1902 in Birkenhead.
I have no birth certificate for Patrick Lawson the only evidence I have of him living in Leixlip is a Militia Attestation when he was 22 stating this
If you could help me find more information on my great grandfather it would be very much appreciated

I looked in the Irish civil indexes. There’s no birth registered for a Patrick Lawson, anywhere in Ireland in 1869, let alone in Leixlip. In addition, the surname Lawson is not common in that county at all. There was a Samuel Lawson in Griffiths Valuation for 1850 in Kilcock. His was the only Lawson household in the county listed then. In the 1901 census, there was only one person named Lawson living in the county, and she was born in Belfast.
The 1902 marriage certificate should give you Patrick’s father’s name and occupation. Let us know what that says and we’ll see if we can help further.
