My father's family is from Kilkenny. He was born there in 1925 yet raised in Arlington, Massachusetts. His name is William T. Murphy. His parents are Ellen and Thomas J. Murphy. He also has 2 older brothers, John Leo and Thomas B. Murphy. I would love to find my family still in Ireland.

Hi Dr Dorothy,
The records on rootsireland finish at 1920 so it was good you mentioned the older brothers.
I searched births/baptisms for Thomas Murphy parents Thomas Murphy and Ellen and got the births of Thomas and John (attached).
Through an exhaustive process of going through all the parishes I found that the Parish the births were registered in is St Johns Roman Catholic.
If you go to Find My Parish at the top of this Irelandxo page you can get further information about the parish and whether there might be Murphys still there.
We have had some success from people writing to addresses in the Irish phone book asking about connection / ancestry so I've attached the eircom entries of the Murphys from Kilkenny.
