Looking for the marriage record for Patrick Finn and Catherine Hayden in Co. Kilkenny perhaps Graiguenamanagh. Daughters Ellen Finn born about 1858 and Bridget Finn about 1864 in Kilkenny; both daughters later emigrated to New York City where Ellen then married my great-uncle. Baptismal records for any other Finn/Hayden children would also be much appreciated as would emigration records for the family.

Roger, is there a census or another record that might show Patrick Finn's occupation? Ellen Finn's baptismal record you found has the category "Occupation:" on the line with Patrick's name but it is blank. Would he be listed in 1858 Griffiths by any chance?

The Griffiths Valuation for Kilkenny was conducted in 1849. I checked Graiguenamanagh parish and there were no Finns listed. Likely he was a farmer or farm labourer but there are no existing censuses prior to 1901.
