Still looking for a Mary Catherine (Katherine) Walsh of Kilkenny born ca 1818 she came to Canada ca1835 married in Miramichi 1836 to my ancestor Maurice Doyle born ca 1807, who may have also been from Kilkenny , Maurice had a brother Thomas who came here in 1820s never married and was listed as a cordwainer in a census. Maurice died 1862 at age 55. Katherine died in 1896. Their oldest son was called Thomas and second oldest John Allan. if that can tell someone something .
1851 Miramichi Canada Census says Thomas was 52 , came to Canada in 1820 and was a Shoemaker, never married.

The subscription site Roots Ireland has 159 Mary Walsh baptismal records in Co. Kilkenny between 1813-1823. We would need her parents names to see if we could find her baptismal record. The earliest Maurice Doyle baptismal record in Co. Kilkenny was in 1828.
Have you considered DNA testing? Possibly you will have matches with 3rd or 4th cousins who might have more info on the origins of you Walsh and Doyle connections.
