I have anecdotally heard that my great great garndfather was born in Owning, Kilkenny. Any ideas where I might find a birth record for him (or info on his family)?
Name: Patrick Wall
born: Abt 1780
He emigrated to Newfoundland, Canada sometime between his birth and his marriage.
married: 1808 to Jane French in Newfoundland, Canada

If the Wall family were RC then records for the RC parish of Templorum only go back to 1803 so no record will be available for Patrick. I checked the Tithe listings and the Griffiths Valuation listing for owning parish and did not find any Wall records.
