Michael Ward married Roseanna McWeeney in Kiltubbrid R.C. Church Feb 1861.  Daughter Mary Ann bap. 31 Jan 1862.  Emigrated to New York City Apr. 1863.  Known children, Mary Ann, Barbara, John, Michael and Elizabeth.  Girls died in childhood.  John and Michael sent to farm in Iowa about 1878.  Parents apparently deceased.  No record found.  Michael remained in Bernard, Iowa.  John returned to New York.  He was my grandfather. Would love to connect with any possible relatives of Michael or Roseanna in Ireland or Michael, Jr. in Iowa.  Michael, Sr. was a bootmaker.

    Do you have any information regarding any family that may have remained in Ireland? If you have some names you could try searching the indexes to the Irish Civil records to see if you can find any births, marriages, deaths. You can search these indexes here:

    Have you tried searching in the 1901/1911 census records to see if there was any family still in the area at the time? You could do this here:
