My great aunt Maria "Mary" Josephine Howard was born 15 April 1866 in the Parish/District of Adare.
Her parents were Peter Howard and Catherine Hogan. She is listed as Roman Catholic. Is Adare the name of the Church? She is buried in New Albany, Indiana, USA. I am looking for the burial sites of her parents. Peter Howard was b 1832 and d . 2 January 1885. Catherine Hogan was b. 8 September 1845 , d. 20 January 1915. I believe they were both buried in County Limerick.
Peter' father was James Howard b. 1810 and d. 1866. His mother Ellen Hoar, no other information.
Catherine Hogan's father is Michael Hogan and Mother was Margaret Lynch. They were married 6 July 1837, St. Michael's, Limmerick. Is St. Michael's a Catholic Church?
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Dear Barbara
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Adare is both a civil and RC church parish. RC Records there start in 1832. This link will bring you to what is probably the actual church building you are referring to:
http://www.adareparish.ie/our-parish/church-restoration-project/
There is a St. Michael?s Church in Limerick City itself. St. Michael?s is a Civil Parish, Roman Catholic Parish and the name of the building (hope that?s no too confusing):

If you go to rootsireland.ie you may be able to find some records for this family. I had a quick look and there is a civil and church marriage record for a Peter Howard and a wife first name Catherine in Limerick in 1866. As this is a subscription site I am limited in what I can see. Have a look and let me know what you think.
Best wishes
