I am hoping to gain some insight into the parents/family of Martin Conway and Catherine O'Donnell, married 14JUN1845 in ARDAGH Parish. They had a son, James, born in REENS in 1846 (baptized 02MAR1846 in ARDAGH, Sponsors James Buckley and Maria Summers) and a daughter, Margaret in 1848 (baptized 01AUG1848 in ARDAGH, Sponsors Michael Conway and Margaret O'Donnell).
Their son, James (born 1846), moved to New York city as a young man. I have verified that I have his parents correct via his NY marriage certificate and corroborated that when he returned to Ireland with his bride for two years and had his first son, Martin, while living in Reens, before returning to New York for the remainder of his life. James is my Great Great Grandfather.
I have been unable to find more information on Martin Conway and Catherine O'Donnell. Does anyone know these names or any family histories? I would greatly appreciate any information that you may be able to assist me with. I suppose it is possible that there was another Martin Conway and Catherine O'Donnell who married elsewhere and had a son named James, but I have been unable to find them through the rootsireland records.

The free site www.irishgenealogy.ie has civil death record images from 1878-1969 and index records for 1864-1877.
I located an 1887 death record for a Catherine Conway in Reens. It is the 9th record on the page https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1887/06192/4770908.pdf
The informant was her sister in law Mary O'Donnell who was likely married to a brother of Catherine.
There is a Martin Conway death record in 1869. This Martin was age 70. We don't have a date when the site will be updated to add the images of deaths from 1864-1877. I feel pretty sure this record would be for your Martin. Your other alternative would be to write to Ireland to get a copy of the record.

Thank you. I will begin to research Mary O'Donnell and find out more about her and her husband. This was a great find, thank you.
I will send a post off to receive the death information from the Civil Registrar for Martin.
