Do you know much about Ellen's emigration? Generally more information was given at the port of entry as opposed to port of departure. A useful website may be the U.S. National Archives, in particular their pages on Immigration Information. This can be found here:

You may also want to do a search of the passanger lists for Ellis Island and Castlegarden. You can do this at the following links:

Did Ellen Darcy emmigrate tomthe USA as a widow?

I Have a Michael & Ellen Darcy from East Galway. Married 1838 , Michael was born 1n 1819 and died 1872. I have him listed as a clerk?
