Patrick Jones born about 1801 and Bridget O'Dea born about 1806 move to Port Daniel, Canada in the mid 1820's. Brigdet was the daughter of James O'Dea and Nancy Enright.

  • Hi thanks for your message and interest in Ireland Reaching Out.

     

    Do you have any further information on your great great grand parents relating to when they were in Ireland? Do you have any documents that mentions a parish or a townland as this would really help when looking for information? Religious denomination is also important in determining which records are relevant to your research.

     

    Do you know anything more about their emigration? Often more information was given at the port of arrival rather than the port of departure . If you knew which city they arrived at  this could be a good place to find more information. And perhaps even find out an exact place of origin.
