  • I was very excited when I saw the surname Kearney mentioned.  I, too, have Kearney ancestors from Bruff.  Unfortunately I think we "may" not be of the same Kearney family.  Maybe we just havent chased them back to a common ancestor yet.  Im going to pass along info on my Kearneys in case you may know something of them or know that we might be related.  Its a shot in the dark!  LOL

    4th great grandfather:  Edmond b. abt 1757. d. Feb 1837 and buried in at St. John's cemetery in Knockainey, Limerick.  
          m.  Hanora Creahan b. abt 1765  d. 12 Feb 1825 in St. John's
          known children, William, Michael and Patrick - d. 1 Jun 1829 and buried at St. John's

     

    3rd g grandfather:  William Kearney b. abt 1792  d. 28 Mar 1865 in Ballinrea, Bruff
