Hello- I'm researching my ancestors. My ancestor Dennis Enright born 1813 or 1814, Limerick, came to Canada about 1835 and settled in Lanark Co. Ontario. His father was Richard Enright, who did not emigrate, and his mother was Mary Conners. His brother was Thomas and his sister was Ellen.
Closely associated with this family are the Michael Enright- Mary Shanahan family, children Hanorah, Margaret, Mary and others. Roughly the same era- Michael and Mary would be late 1700s, children roughly 1820s.
I see in Estate Maps of Co Limerick that there are Enrights, Conners and Shanahans in Clonshire (map NLI Ms5587), Eyre Lloyd Estate.
Any leads would be most appreciated.

Hi,
Thanks for your message.
Have you tried looking for Enrights in the land records pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century? It may help you narrow down some parishes:
There are two:
The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) found at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp
and Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) found at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
Kind regards,

Hi Don,
I think I know what may have happened to you Richard Enright. The person could be his son if he had a son Richard but I thinkl it is the father. Please email me.
