Hi Im looking to locate my great grand mother's grave. She was born in Tully on the 14th april 1876. To parents John Lee and Julia Hanly. She had one brother James and two sisters that I know of. She married Thomas Coffey on the 1st Dec 1900. She died on 20th May 1930. I have visited Darragh grave yard where her husband is burried and Glenroe. She isn't burried in either of those places. Thinking the key is the find possible other sibblings or where her parents might be buried. Thank you regards Rosaleen

Hi Rosaleen,
When you visited the graveyards, did you only read the headstones? Or did you check with the church that runs the cemetery and get the interment list? Sometimes people are buried in a grave but their name is not inscribed on the headstone. I hope this helps.Patricia

Hi Patricia. Hope all well. No to be honest i just checked the headstones. I might get in contact with the parish office in Glenroe and see what happens. Is there anyway of checking on line for this. Regards Rosaleen

Don't know if there's an online burial list...but you could email the parish office to find out. Good luck!

Attached is a list of Coffey burials in Darragh that were published in a locally published list called God's Acre in the early 1990's. Some of these are not recorded on headstones, they come from parish information held by the PP.
There are three Coffey families still living in the area, all related to each other. One lives on land previously owned by a Hanley family. If you get in ttouch with me by email, I will try to put you in touch..
