My 3x GGF, JOHN HUNT, from Glin/Killeany More, Kilfergus, Limerick. He also went by the patronymic “FEIGHE”. Any information on origin of FEIGHE would be appreciated!

Suzanne,
I assume John lived about 1814-1889. There are trees on Ancestry.com that include John. Several other members of his family used the Hunt (Feighe) name. One suggests that Feighe is the Gaelic name for Hunt.
I found this link that might support that theory.

Suzanne,
Do you subscribe to Ancestry? If not I would be happy to provide you info. I think my cousin connects to your Hunt family.
