James Ryan & Bridget Hayes were living next to Kilduff Castle in Grean where there first child Michael was born 7 Sept 1823. Following children were Mary (?), Catherine (1828), John (1832), Matthew (1834), Jeremiah (1836) & James (1839). Sometime after Michael's birth, the family had moved to Dromalty, Cappamore. Catherine emigrated to NY 1848, whereas Michael, John, Jeremiah & Matthew emigrated to AU (Michael: 1859, the others 1854.)
James Ryan Sr. had brothers who lived in the area around Grean: Michael (Kilduff), Jeremiah (Dromalty), Matthew (Brackile), Maurice (Corelish), Daniel (Corelish), and Phil (blacksmith & wagonmaker, unknown residence). Seeking information on these brothers & descendants.
The Ryan nickname of the Dromalty Ryans was likely "Droichead."

Hey Nancy ,
Cappamore is neighbouring parish to Murroe Boher so wouldnt have any info on the above , i dont think that Cappamore have a page set up yet ,on this website but the below website has a lot of info on cappamore , records dont start in cappamore until ~1845 so it would be hard enough to get info before that ?

Thank you, Aine, for your reply. I do know that Cappamore & Grean are a bit south, and I belong to the 3 XO groups: Abington, Grean & Murroe/Boher. I think I was posting to all 3 "just in case" someone recognized some of the info. Evidently, my Cappamore Ryan & Murroe Guinane were very connected through marriage, so family would have been in both parishes.
Best wishes,
Nancy
