Hello,
I am trying to find more information about Dennis Slattery born 1809 in County Limerick. There is the possiblity he is from Kilcullane. He immigrated to Pennsylvania, United States sometime before 1841. He married Mary Ann Wagner in the US in 1841. I appreciate any help you can share.

Laura:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I checked Roots Ireland and searched from 1804-1814 in Co. Limerick. There was only one record and it was in 1809 in Bruff. Bruff is to the west of Kilcullane civil parish. Do you know the names of the parents of Denis? The RC parish for Kilcullane civil parish is Hospital and records for that parish start in 1810. http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0268
Let me know what questions you have.

Dear Roger,
Thank you so much for the prompt reply about my 3rd great grandfather. I have reached out to my immediate family members who may have any information about Denis Slattery. They did not have any more inforamtion than I do. The only possible change is that I have seen his wife's name as either Mary Ann Wagner or Magner born in Limerick in 1819. I know nothing else of Denis or his family in County Limerick. I see in the record you sent that his potential father is Robert Slattery and hispotential mother is Ellen Hayes.
Another family line is through Denis Slattery's son, James Slattery. He married Mary Jane Ryan, born May 5, 1851 in Pennsylvania, USA. Her father, Patrick Ryan was born in Ireland in 1822 or 1823. Patrick immigrated in 1843, with his brother John Ryan (born Dec 1826). Patrick's wife, Mary Ann Bennett was born 1824 in Ireland.
I am very interested in discovering any relatives in Ireland. I would like to make contact with my Irish family! If you could assist me I would really appreciate it!
Warmest Regards,
Laura Woods

Have you considered taking an autosomal DNA test? Possibly you will match someone who has more information on your Slattery connections back to Ireland.

Hello Andy,
I love meeting new family members! Yes, I learned a little bit more about Dennis Slattery. In 2016, I had the privilege to travel to Ireland and go to his hometown of Bruff, County Limerick. My husband and I went to Ss {Saints} Peter and Paul Bruff Catholic Church and got the priest to show us "An Index ro The Baptismal and Matrimonial Registers of The Parish of Bruff 1781-1899 AD". I took photos of the pages that showed the family connections for Dennis.
I found the children born to Robert Slattery and Ellen Hayes;
Format is Year, Day, Month.
1808.16.06 John Slattery
1809.01.12 Denis Slattery
1812.01.02 Ellen Slattery
1814.06.09 Mary Slattery
1817.05.06 James Slattery
1820.18.06 John Slattery
There were some other pages of marriages, but I couldn't find a recording of Robert Slattery marrying Ellen Hayes so the priest suggested I reach out to Hospital or Knockainey Parish. I wrote letters to the but never heard back.
I am including photos of the pages recording the births along with the church. I tried to take photos of any page with a 'Slattery' so if you want to dig deep let me know and I'll send those also.
Which of Dennis' child is your ancestor? Mine is James Slattery born abot 1847 in Pennsylvannia. Do you happens to have an account on Ancestry.com? I have out all of my information there.
I'd love to learn more about your line.
Best wishes,
Laura
