Greetings,
I am searching for information re: my maternal great, great grandfather Jeremiah HURLEY. His certified marriage record on 2-Jan 1828 lists his address as Kilmallock. He married Mary QUISH of Ballycahill. I also have a certified copy of a church baptism record on 31-Dec-1837 of his child Catherine Hurley also in Kilmallock (NOTE-mother's name listed incorrectly as Cush not Quish as it should have been.) Sponsors are listed asPatrick DRISCOLL & Helen (Cush)QUISH.

I would be grateful for any information, I have not found anything that lists his parents or siblings. There is very little information about another child MICHAEL, my great grandfather who emigrated to US in approximately 1870-80s.

Thank you, Kathleen

Do you belong to Ancestry.com. If you don't I can look up your Michael. I will need more information- where he settled in the US, his wife's name, (marriage date), any death info?
Sometimes info from Ireland surfaces when searching.

  • Hi There

I have never head of a Hurley living in ''Mount Fox, Ballyno'' (should be Bailla Nua=Newtown). But I will enquire --there are still a Quish Family living in that area may be some connection.

The name Bluitte is still living about one mile away from Mount Fox.

  • I may be peripherally related through John Hurley (he was with Jeremiah Hurley when he died in 1873). The family is on FamilySearch including your Michael Hurley of Chicago. See Jeremiah’s ID: G46P-4GN
