According to my great aunt, Maude Helson, her great-grandparents were JOHN BOYLE, SR. and NORA (MOLLY) McLAUGHLIN of Co. Limmerick. On January 6, 1798, they had JOHN BOYLE, JR. in Co. Limmerick.  In 1800, John Boyle, Sr. was taken by a British chain gang and never heard from again. After that, Nora McLaughlin Boyle and John Boyle, Jr., moved in with her brother, FATHER McLAUGHLIN of NENAGH, Co. Tipperary.  In 1822, JOHN BOYLE ,JR. and BRIDGET QUIRK were married in TOMMYVARA, Co. Limmerick.  In 1825, they moved their family, which now included sons DANIEL BOYLE, b. 1823, and PATRICK BOYLE, b. 1825, moved to New York City, NY.

Can anyone confirm this?
