Good day,

My family history seems to have hit a dead end a few years ago.  My grandfather said in a small town, outside of Limerick.  But I have never found any evidence.

Looking for a possible Denis/Dennis or Michael Finnigan born approx 1791.  I was told parents were Emily and Patrick-but that could be a myth.  There was a brother John or Byron.  They settled in Freeport, Nova Scotia back around 1825, where there is evidence that they are on a land deed.  These Finigans' were Baptist in the new land, not RC, but could have been RC originally.

DNA now indicates a possible match with some folks in this area of Ireland.  Some placenames are Ballybeg, Seconglass, Ballycomane..

Anyhow, any information would be great that I can dig deeper in.

Many thanks,

Susan
