Hello, I am trying to find more information about the families of either James Madden (@ 1831 - ) or Mary Ryan (@1828 - ).
They were married in Caherconlish parish, Cashel and Emly. They had 4 children, Bridget (1853 - 1886), Michael (1856 - 1910), Patrick (1859 - ), and Judith (1859 - ). They emigrated to Australia in 1866 on the ship Peerless. Judith however was not on the passengers list.
I want to learn more about James or Mary and their parents or their origins. It's hard to work out the church they were married in. And what happened to Judith?
I am visiting Limerick / Caherconlish in June and would love to be able to visit something or do some more research but I am finding it hard to know where to find it.
Kind regards Treena

Hi Treena, Thank you for the records.
I did see the record where they arrived in Australia.
More details than the one with the Depositors file you have.
Says James' father was Michael Madden and Mother was Kate (no maiden name) both dead
Mary's Father was Pat Ryan and Mother was Norah Both dead.
Relations in the Colony Thomas Madden...........the same name as in you ship list.
If you could find out what ship Thomas went on to Australia I may find more out.
No results for Judith, deaths were only logged in Civil records after 1864.Cheers

Hi Treena!
If you have not done so already, could you complete this form https://www.irelandxo.com/meet-and-greet regarding your June trip to Ireland? Thanks!
