Greetings;
My Great Grandmother was: Margaret Roche born in Limerick, came to NYC in 1896. Her parents were Michael Roche and Mary O'Rourke who were married at St. Michael's church on11 Feb 1861.
Their children were:John Roche-b. 1864, Michael Joseph-b. 1866, Mary Margaret -b.1868, Bridget-b. 1870, Margaret-b. either 1873 or 1878, Thomas-b. 1876, and Cecilia born 1882.
Margaret came to NYC, Thomas and Cecilia came over to NYC on the same ship together and Michael Joseph came to NYC. We are not sure of anyone else right now.
We would like to know more of our family and if there are any relatives over there still living.
I would appreciate any info on this.
Thank you.

Thank you-I already have their baptism certificates from Roots ireland site. My great grandmother-Margaret roche seems to have two birthdates-Her birth year on her baptims cert says 1873-her death certitificate from NYC says 1878. Why would they be so far apart in years?
I am also still trying to work on her marriage cert from NYC. Margaret Roche immigrated to NYC in 1896 where she met and married James Carroll. I wonder if they knew each other in Ireland- as they are both from Limerick-Pallaskenry area and both families went to St. Michaels's Church. According to the 1910 US Federal Census her and James were married in 1900-her first daughter was born in 1903. They had five- of which one was my Grandmother. Just cannot seem to find the marriage certificate from NYC.
It is like a puzzle. I would like to eventually find out If I have any living relatives in Limerick. I do know that a few of both the families came over to NYC. But, some stayed in Ireland.
