Re Bridget O'Dea (nee Browne) and Michael Browne. My email 1 March 2015 and your reply 28 March 2015 refers.

Thanks so much for your reply to our query. Yes we do have further information as follows:

Bridget O'Dea (nee Browne) died 27 October 1895 in Turagh, the age given was 84. This would make her born around 1811. The informant was Laurence Mackey her son-in-law.

Michael Browne gave his age as 40 when he emigrated to NZ (therefore born 1836). However, when he died in NZ in 1921 his age was given as 90, therefore born 1831. There is provision for the parents' names to be entered on our NZ certificates, however there are no details provided on Michael's death certificate.

It seems we may not to be able to prove Bridget and Michael are related but will settle for the likelihood that they may well be.

Thank you very much for the information you were able to provide. We will keep it for future reference should any further "clues" emerge.

    I have look again in the records there is no records for a Bridget Browne born 1811 , and the only records of the Michael Brown to be born around 1831  , is one born to Patrick Browne and Catherine Hayes on the 9th Aug 1830.There is no record of Patrick and Catherine having a daughter Bridget.

    There is another Michael born 08 Sept 1838 to William Browne and Mary Bourke , there is no record of they having other children baptised in Murroe.
