Hello, I live in Australia and am researching my great grandmother Ellen Hannan/Hannon who was born 5th June 1870 and her brother James Stephen born 6th March 1868, they both state their home address as Murroe.  I have been able to find registrations for both of these but am looking more for information on their parents Patrick Hannon and Margaret Moloney.  I would love to track death or marriage information on them.  I am coming to Ireland either the end of this year or beginning of next and want to come and see where they lived etc.  I know that Ellen and James both came to Australia but am wondering if there was any more children to Patrick and Margaret.

    I cant find record for marriage for Patrick and Margaret  in Murroe.

    Records for Hannons in Murroe end in the 1850's .

    There are Hannons recorded in Murroe/Boher Co.Limerick   - there is also a Murroe Co. Donegal is it possible they are from there ???

  • Hi Aine, they definitely were in Limerick, it is possible that Patrick Hannan's parents were John Hannan and Mary Aplin/Alpin. That is about as much as I have on this family.  I am very grateful for any help or advice you can give me.

  • Dear Maureen, my relatives were also Patrick Hannan and Margaret Moloney. Their daughter was Margaret Mary Hannan who married Dennis Daley and their daughter was my grand mother Bridget.

    I am interested in what you have found out about them as I have hit a brickwall.
