Hello
I am researching the families of Edmund Ryan and Alicia Roche who lived at Cross Cottage, Pallasgrean. Father Thomas Ryan and mother Bridget Ryan. Edmund is buried at Oola cemetery died 1814 aged 30 according to records but I have questions about the date/age.
Any information gratefully received!

Dear K8
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I see that Historic Graves have listed Edmund's headstone transcription, which is probably where you got the date of death from. This date would give him a birth year of 1784 or thereabouts:

If you go to www.rootsireland.ie ( a subscription site) you will see they have a Church Burial Record for an Edmund Ryan in Co. Limerick in 1817. Let me know what you think, it is worth looking at as there is only one record listed.
Best wishes

My great grandfather Thomas Ryan lived in Cross Cottage in 1825. He was born in 1797 and married to Alicia Bradshaw. His father was John and mother Bridget. I have a lot of old papers in my possesion that proves the above. Alicia Roche and Edmond Ryan were married in 1807. Alice was the second daughter of Laurence Roche of Trenloise .I believe that Edmond and John were brothers and their parents were Thomas and Bridget. Baptism records for Pallasgreen show Alicia and Edmond had Dau. Hanora born in 1812, and son Thomas born in 1813. I believe they also had a son John born before records poss. 1808 and he was married to Ann Gubbins who was buried in Oola in 1847. I believe John and his children emograted to Australia some years later.
