Hoping to connect with any possible living relatives of Daniel Leamy and Winifred Quinn, who were married in Pallasgrean Parish, Archiocese of Cashel on 25 Feb 1811.  Daniel and Winifred had 9 children.  They were John, Daniel, Michael, Catherine,William, Mary, Timothy, Margaret and Winifred.  Most of their children emigrated to America and I am a descendent of their son, William (1821-1897) who married Mary Anne Harty (1829-1899).  I will be visiting Pallasgreen in June, 2013.

Thanks!

    Hi Kirk,

Thank you very much for your message. I am delighted to hear that you are visiting in June, I hope you have a lovely time.

Have you tried checking in the 1901/1911 census records to see if there were any Leamy?s or Quinn?s in the area at the time? You can search these online here:

    http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

It may also be an idea to contact Limerick Genealogy Centre to see if they can be of any assistance. Here are their contact details:

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

  • Hi Kirk,

I too am a descendant (great great granddaughter) of William Leamy and Mary Harty. I'd be delighted to hear if you were able to make any discoveries about our family on your trip. Thus far I have not been able to get beyond Daniel Leamy and Winifred Quinn in my tree. If you are still monitoring this board, I'd love to try to make contact. Cheers!
