In the 1852 GV my ancestor John Cleary is shown at Blossomhill, with a house, "offices" and garden, on 2 roods. I think the map reference is 9Ac. When I click on the map I can find 9, but not a 9A or 9Ac. This map is the black and white one for this part of Blossomhill and I don't know whether its because the map itself is a lot older than the 1852 records.
Can anyone more familiar with the map or Blossomhill see if they can narrow down exactly where on the map the house may have been?
He was a farmer on Eyre Lloyd's estates for many years, and had 10 children who all survived to adulthood and who all migrated to Australia. In time, John and his wife joined the rest of the family in Australia. It has been an exciting journey finding out about these Cleary's, and ultimately only made possible by DNA proof that we had the right bunch of people.
Thanks to anyone who can help or clarify info. I have attached pictures of the basic info and map.

Hi,
You might get some leads here, John Cleary Rathkeale is mentioned
http://www.limerick.ie/sites/default/files/d7_files/atoms/files/estate_…
also historic maps from osi.ie ( not always easy to find but try here http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,537872,643006,10,7
which will give you good definition of Blossomhill townlond, BTW those boundaries would be unchanged today. The 9 in your map is actually half a lake in Wolfesburgess East
Hope this is of some help
