father WILLIAM HIGGINS They were Catholics.

I checked Roots Ireland and found a December 24, 1837 baptism for a William Higgins with father William and mother Margaret Reidy in Rathkeale RC. Church. I did not find a record for Michael in Rathkeale. The Rathkeale records start in 1831. ( there are also earlier periods with gaps).
