ISO info for a military station in Rathkeale, for the time period 1810s-1820s. Are there any records, in a local archive or local historical society in the area (not KEW)? What newspapers would serve this area? Thank you.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Your best bet would be to contact the local archivist in Limerick at this website: http://www.limerick.ie/archives

You could also contact the duty archivist at the National Archives in Dublin as they would hold most of the military related material for that period, rather than our own Military Archives in Dublin. I am also wondering if the Irish Architectural Archives would be useful in your searh. You can contact them here: http://www.iarc.ie/contact/

In terms of newspapers the Irish or British Newspaper online Archives are a good resource. In many case local stories were printed nationally and internationally so be mindful that the local might be restrictive and that a wider search can yield results. The archive in Limerick will also be able to give you a good listing of the relevant Limerick newspapers.

    Hope this helps
