Looking for help to get further on researching a set of great great grandparents, Joseph Manning and Hanora Reidy/Riedy and their children from the Shanid area, West Limerick.  Most records I have found reflect residences of Shanid, Ballyane, or Briskagh.

The only marriage I found for Joseph and Hanora that seemed to fit was on NLI at RC Kilcolman/Coolcappa 30 July 1857, but I can’t make out any of the information beyond their names.  https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634988#page/19/mode/1up  I found the names transcribed on “Find My Past” as Josephum Mourning and Honoram Rudy.

Gr Gr grandmother Hanora, widow, was living with her son Patrick (my Gr grandfather) and his family in Ballyane, Shanid on the 1901 and 1911 Census.  Hanora’s son James and his family are living in Briskagh, Shanid on the 1901 and 1911 Census.  I found her (Nora Manning) death registration 2 Apr 1913, at home in Ballyane, 82 years old.

I have found six children.  The baptisms of five of the six, all at RC Shanagolden and the Civil Birth registrations of four of the six in the District of Shangolden, Union of Glin.  1) Ellen Baptism 22 Apr 1860;  2) Joseph Baptism 16 Feb 1862;  3) James Baptism 2 Feb 1864 and Birth registration 28 Jan 1864, residence Briscagh;  4) William Baptism 28 Feb 1866 and Birth registration 25 Feb 1866, residence Shanid;  5) Mortimer I did not find a baptism. Birth registration 19 Apr 1867, residence Shanid; and lastly 6) my great grandfather Patrick Baptism 3 Feb 1871 and Birth registration 21 Jan 1871, residence Shanid.

Regarding their children.  Other than baptisms/births I have not found anything else for Ellen, Joseph or William.  I possibly found Mortimer (30, Bachelor) death 4 Mar 1897 in the Rathkeale Workhouse.  Ballyane written under his name.  For James (1864-1910) and my Gr grandfather Patrick (1871-1937) I have found civil marriage and death registrations and many of the birth registrations of their children.  If RC church records are available on-line from this time frame (after 1890) I haven’t found.

Other than the marriage the only other clues I have Gr Gr grandfather Joseph is the “informant” on his son James birth registration is listed as Hanora Manning (grandmother), suggesting that Joseph’s mothers name was also Hanora (my 3x great grandmother) and a possible death record for her 23 Jan 1873 (85, widow) in Shanid.
