My grandmother Mary Ann McLaughlin was born in Ireland and came to the U.S. as a child.  It is my understanding that Ireland has a program that will issue Irish Citizenship to family members that can prove that a direct relative was born in Ireland. I can document that birth.  What if anything needs to be done to obtain an Irish Citizenship?  Thanks for the help, Valerie Bradley

  • I applied for Irish citizenship quite a few yrs ago because my grandparents were born there, I had to prove my grandparents through birth records, contact the Irish embassy for info.Iam so proud to have dual citizenship with Ireland. The only thing I haven't done yet is my passport. Best of luck, it's your birth right.
