Thomas McLaughlin married Catherine McGonagle estimated date 1860. Thomas left for U.S. sometime in 1884. They had two children Lochias McLaughlin and Margaret McLaughlin, Catherine was pregnant before Thomas left - soon after Catherine gave birth to Mary Anne McLaughlin b. July 30, 1864. Place of her birth was noted as Urbalreagh and the witness to her birth was a Donald McLaughlin, brother of Thomas his residence was noted as Magherard. I'm wondering if there are any relatives still living in the area that may have some genealogy information on the McLaughlin-McGonagle families. Catherine and the three children (Lochias, Margaret and Mary Ann (who must have been only several months old) left for the U.S. sometime is 1865. Does anyone know anything about these people?? Have you already searched in the 1901/1911 census records to see if there were any McLaughlin?s still in the area at the time? You can search these here:

In the meantime it could also be a good idea to place a message ?reaching out? as such in a more local forum such as a newsletter or newspaper. That way the likelihood of someone who is connected to the family seeing it is increased. Some possible places where you may be able to do this are:
