I am searching for information about John McNally and his wife Sara Cunningham McNally. They lived in Killeshee from 1860 to 1870. Their children were William, James, Margaret and Sara. The children all came to the United States in the 1880's and lived in Warren, Pennsylvania. James (my great grandfather) worked for the Burma Oil Company and lived for nine years in India. John McNally may have had a brother named Denis.
William McNally was born in 1860
Margaret McNally was born June 4, 1865
James McNally was born July 24, 1868
Sarah McNally was born in 1870

Hi Steve,
I have recently joined as Parish Liaison for Killashee and may be able to help with your query. In the 1901 and 1911 Irish census there are McNallys living at Kilmore Lower which was part of Clonguish parish (also known as Newtownforbes) bordering on Killashee parish. In the Griffith Valuation circa 1850 the McNally name is still evident in Kilmore Lower. I have spoken to a number of elderly residents of Killashee parish regarding the McNally name and they have all stated that McNallys came from the Kilmore area. If I can be of further assistance please let me know.
