Hello, I'm trying to determine where my great grandfather John T. Bogue (possibly spelled Boag) was born. The year would have been approx 1850, father John Thomas Bogue, mother Mary Kernan (possibly spelled Keenan). I believe they lived in Fivemiletown but am not certain. They were Catholic. Anything information you can provide is much appreciated. Thank you.

Fivemiletown is in the RC parish of Aughintaine. Unfortunately they don?t have any baptism or marriage records earlier than 1870. So it doesn?t appear you?ll find his baptism there (if that?s where he came from). You will need to rely on other sources eg censuses, poor law records, military records, obituaries etc to trace his origins.
