I am tryiny to find any information on my gg grandfather Alexander Rogers. He was born in 1798 in Louth, (Dundalk I believe.) His father was John Rogers who came from Monaghan but I am not sure about his mother although I think her surname could have been Deering. Alexander had brothers, John Deering Rogers, James Henry Rogers, William Robert Rogers & Alleyne Rogers and a sister Margaret Eleanor Rogers. Their mother died between 1805 & 1807 and their father died in 1812. The children were brought up by guardians as they were still minors. Alexander and Alleyne attended Trinity College, Alexander between 1814-1818. He is on the 1851 English census and from there on I have been able to trace him. I would like to know what he did between 1818 and 1851 and who his mother was. On the census he is recorded as a Master Mariner and landed proprietor.

His father owned land and mills at Grange & Knock.

I would appreciate any help with this as I am in England and unable to travel to Ireland.
