Hi your query is for very recent times so difficult to locate on a genealogy website.
However there is a hit for a Townsend in Dundalk on the Irish phone book website. See
http://www.eircomphonebook.ie/# the location is Dundalk about 4 or 5 miles from Haggardstown.
the name is unusual here so you could write or call.
Good Luck

HI
me again. Just to say that you must select Residential on the phone book site as it defaults to business and you get all sorts of hits as there are a number of Townsend Street etc addresses.

Sorry James
if you have dates you can order certs on the official website at http://www.groireland.ie/
undermresearch you see you can check the registers in person in Dublin if you can get across, the address currently given on the site is due to change this month but still near city centre. You pay to examine 4 years consecutively an d again if you require a copy of the official entry, ?2 to search the ledgers and ?4 per cert and you are limited to a certain number daily.
it would be time consuming and could be be expensive.
you could try a letter to the local papers, Dundalk Democrat http://www.dundalkdemocrat.ie/
or Dundalk Leader http://www.dundalkleader.com/ or the community section of the local radio
