Looking for marriage or birth records of Joseph Leech to find names of his parents.
One of his children did not leave Ireland, Bridgett Leech who married Patrick Garvey.
Don't know what became of Bridgett.
Patrick Garvey buried with Joseph Leech in Termonfeckin.

Hello Jay, I see a marriage in 1822 of a Joseph Leech to an Ann Hoey in Monasterboice church (nearby) her address is given as Yellow Gap which is in Termonfeckin on the Drogehda Road if Google maps are correct. The parents names are not given nor is his address, the witnesses are Patt McGuirk and Patt Leech. The date is 16th July. You should be able to find it here but can only search by month and year and then read, not always easy. https://registers.nli.ie/
However there is also a local website listing gravestones inscriptions and your information is there, assume you are aware of it but here it is anyway http://www.termonfeckinhistory.ie/ and a good site on Louth is http://jbhall.clahs.ie/
There were a number children, I found 7 between 1820 and 1840, none later, this included twins in 1835 Catherine and Joseph; also James in 1839; Anne in 1829; Brit in 1832 I notice witness was a Brit Healy suggests a link to me). Mary in 1827 and your man in 1824, the few entries I looked at all had Yellow Gap as the address.
There was a Garvey's Cash and Carry (shop wholesaler) on the Termonfeckin side of Drogheda until recent times. Out of interest the name is from Termon for a well and Feckin as a Christian name, the current church was built about 1883.
There are two Facebook pages may interest you, apply to join if interested, Louth Genealogy and Drogheda Down Memory Lane - Lost Families if you are looking for living relatives, neither is overly active, I have a friend in Termonfeckin and will contact him but it will be about a week and ask if he knows anything, I am not overly familiar with Termonfeckin which recently is experiencing a bit of a building boom, it is a lovely little village still though.
I used Roots Ireland a subscription site to locate the information, hence did not look at everything.

Thank you for reply.
I did have the Monasterboice info. Just forgot.
Didn't help me because no parents.
I hit this brick wall about ten years ago.Have traced the children into the United States including my Thomas. The twins I couldn't find and assumed they may have died as infants.
Also couldn't find Bridget but I know she married Patrick Garvey.
The Yellowgap address was in all the baptism records. I've been to Termonfeckin once about 10+ years ago. Found the building where Joseph lived which was renovated as modern house.
Located just before the river and what is now Flynn's hotel and pub, left side heading north on R166 right where the small bridge is.

Hi Jay, I am afraid that the only records available at that remove are church records and if they do not exist you have hit the buffers. I would suggest looking for siblings marriages at the same address, but if there are not parents on this one then unlikely on any, I have a similiar problem as late as 1857.
The Tithes show 2 Leech matches in Termonfeckin in 1830, Patrick and James, this is of course only those subject to the tax and the Flax Growers has only one Leech in Termonfeckin in 1796 an Andrew Leech. Again this is only those listed as Flax Growers and not a census.
Other wise it is a full stop, records prior to 1800 are rare in Ireland unless you have a well known ancestor.
Happy New Year

Thank you for checking.
Andrew Leech is related but not sure how.
His house was across the street from my Joseph.Jay
