Can you give us some more information about your family? There were 18 Brennan families in the 1901 census in the civil parish of Kilbeagh in Mayo and many of them were in townlands around Charlestown. In addition, the Co. Sligo border is just a short distance from Charlestown and in the 1901 census there were many (127) Brennan households in the civil parish of Achonry in Co. Sligo.
