I am coming to the area  in 2014. I would like see the area of my grandmother who was Anne Mullowney. She was born in 1885 and came to the U.S. around 1910. I am excited to see the area and maybe find info on my family.

  • Ellen:

I looked for Mullowneys in Ballyovey civil parish with no success. I did find this Moloney family in Treanlaur townland. Is this your family?

  •  The link did not work. I have my citizenship through Anne Mullowney ( she spelled it Maloney in the US). Her sister Bridget came to the US before she did. I have all of the ancestory info on that. I would like to visit the burial area of my great grandparents Martin and Mary Mullowney. When they signed the birth certificate they could only place an X. They could not write or read. I am visiting this coming summer and would like to see the area in which my granmother grew up. I would also like to find the grave of Martin and Mary
