Gardiner ancestors

Roots Ireland has 3 baptismal records for a Robert Gardiner in the Ballysakeery Church of Ireland records.The years were 1813, 1820 and 1821.  Roots www.rootsireland.ie is a pay site to view the transcription of the church record. Not sure which one is for your relative and maybe none of the three are your Robert. 

The 1846 marriage for Robert and Catherine is also in the Ballysakeery C of I records on Roots.

I checked the Tithes www.titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie and there were three Gardiner records in Ballysakeery parish in 1829: Andrew, Charles and John. Not sure if there is any connection.

I then went back to the baptismal records and put in each of the names as the father of the Roberts in 1813, 1820 and 1821. Andrew and Charles did not work but John was the father for the Robert born in 1820.

Thanks so much Roger.  In fact, as far as I have found, Robert Gardiner's father was Sgt Peter Gardiner, of the Royal Irish Regiment, who himself was married in 1810 in, I believe, the same parish.  It is Peter who first emigrated to Canada, and his son Robert followed after his marriage in 1846.
