Not sure what information you are looking for.

Kilfian RC records start in 1826 so no church records before that year.

I found a Francis Joynt in the Kilfian Tithe Applotment listing (probably around 1834) in Annaghmore townland. Did not locate a Patrick McGinnis.

I have traced by roots back to Ireland and need help finding information there. Is there a way to find the parents of Francis Joynt?  Or the parents of Mary McGinnis?

Is there a resource I am missing? I just joined or new Irish Cultural Center in Phoenix and am enjoying the help they provide. It is where I learned of your site.

There are a lot of Joynt's in Ireland.  You can find a bunch on the Irish Tithes [note that items that say Kilcummin, Kerry are actually in Kilcummin, Mayo]

It is highly likely one of these Joynts is the father of your Francis Joynt. What I suggest is you look at the images, and write down the info you find into a document, and then go through all of them and see if you can figure things out that way.

To my knowledge, you are not missing any resources. The Tithes is the best option for researching in the first part of the 19th century unless you can find church records. Maybe John has some differnt thoughts.

The problem you face is the lack of RC church records for the time period you are researching. As I mentioned in my initial comment, Kilfian records go back to 1826, Kilcummin (Lackan) start in 1852, Doonfeeny (Ballycastle) 1864 and Crossmolina (1862). 

You are fortunate to have approximate years of birth for Francis and Mary and their fathers.approximate year of birth.

When did your family leave Ireland?

Findmypast.com has a list of claimants from the 1798 uprising in Ireland, there is a chance someone is listed there.

and then you might try to find info on "the Index to Killala and Achonry Wills, county Mayo; IGSI Library IR G135, Book no 6D. Seen in the Irish Genealogist, Vol. 3, No 12." as that has an index for some early wills. 

Beyond that, it gets almost impossible, unless you can find some death records that might lead you to have more info.  I think the only suggestion I have is to see if you could do some lateral research, find siblings of your ancestor and see if you could trace them further in both directions.  I have had a bit of luck in that direction.

For the record, I go back to a John Loughney born in Kilfian in about 1766 (or so).  They were living in Kincon, Kilfian, in 1815.
