Looking for any information about Catherine Keane - born in Castlebar, April 19, 1832. Charged with stealing. Convicted by Mr Kate, Prosecutor, in Mayo on January 3, 1849. Sentenced to seven years transportation. Received at Grangegorman Depot, Dublin, 10.30am, May 29, 1849. Sent to Van Diemen's Land onboard the 'Australasia" (exact date unknown). Was tried and convicted in Mayo with her brother, Michael, who died in Richmond Prison, Dublin, August, 1850.
