  • Just checking to see if you have any info on mary r. dougherty millison.  My mother was adopted at St. Vincent's Home in Philadelphia in 1947.  Her birthmother was listed as a Mary Dougherty.  Some of my research leads me in this direction.  Any info would be so much appreciated.

  • Hi lovemy4kidzz

I am not sure why I didn't receive notification of your message---I apologize for the delay.  Mary R. Dougherty Millison was the daughter of Patrick Dougherty and Rose Kerrigan.  Patrick was my grandmother's brother.  Mary's middle name was Regina.  Mary was born in 1905 and died in 1992.  She is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery with many other family members.  In the 1940 US census she is married and living with her husband.  I have that her son Edward was born in 1943.  If your mother was adopted in 1947, Mary's legal last name would have been Millison by that point.

I am happy to give you more info if you think this is good lead.

    Kate
