I'm trying to identify parents and siblings of Edward Boyle born c1806 in Foxford, Co.Mayo cane across a British Army Service Record on 'findmypast' for John BOYLE enroled on 17th July 1839 aged 19yrs and birth year calculated as 1820. The record is for army pensioner, long service of 21yrs, discharged on 2nd October 1860 due to ill health. It also gives his parish of birth as 'Straid', Town of birth as 'Foxford' and County of birth as 'Mayo'. Unfortunately no next of kin or parents names included in the record and so can't yet link this John BOYLE with my family ancestors but it certainly looks promising. Hence if any one can provide known parents and siblings of John BOYLE the it would be much appreciated.

Straid parish is a Catholic parish in Co. Mayo that is sometimes also known as Templemore parish. Foxford is a town that is found in the Catholic and civil parish of Toomore.
Unfortunately, church records for both of these Catholic parishes do not start until the latter half of the 19th century so you will probably not be able to find a baptismal cert for Edward.

I did a quick search for Boyle in the land records pertaining to 19th century Ireland. There were no Boyles recorded in either Templemore or Toomore civil parishes in the first known as the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) here are the Boyles that were in the County:
There were Boyles recorded in the later Griffith?s Valuation in Toomore:
Unfortunately, there is no genealogical information in these records so there is no way of knowing with any certainty if these Boyles are related to Edward.
