I am a novice at this and feeling my way through it. My grandfather's name was James Daly. I am unsure of his middle name. However, records indicate his brother, a St. Augustinian priest, by the name of Bernard Daly was born in Kells, Ireland in 1871. He joined the St. Augustinian order at Villanova, PA, Unites States, in 1897. Bernard's brothers were of course James, then Patrick and John and a sister Margaret. I do not have middle names for any of them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Although I have only just read this email, eight years on, which relate to your Grandfather James Daly & one of his siblings a Bernard Edward Daly, I do have some valid & relevant information regarding this Daly Family whom I believe hailed from a small townland named "Loughan", Moynalty, Kells, Co. Meath.
My maternal grandfather, Francis Joseph Daly, was born at Loughan farm and this is where the conncections commence, but they are not so straight forward as one would expect from the rather scatty historic Irish records............
I would have assumed after eight years you may well have found some solid information on your Grandfather's past but if there is anyway I can assist please do not hesitate in replying to this belated email......
Kind regards,
Chris Ryan
