FINDING THE TOWNLAND

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and there was a 1777 Patrick Lynch baptismal record in Nobber RC parish. The ftaher was Thomas Lynch and the mother was Margaret (no last name provided0. This family lived in Cruisetown.  Not all Co. Meath RC parishes have records back to 1777. So you can use this record as a lead but you have more work to do to confirm this record. Did your Patrick have siblings?

Dear Roger:

Please forgive me for taking so long to respond to your posting about my 3x great grandfather, Patrick Lynch.

I do not know the names of Patrick's father or mother. I do not know if Patrick had siblings.  I do know that none of Patrick's sons were named Thomas nor, to my knowledge, were any of his grandsons.

Thank you for your help.  I will continue my search.
