I posted here in 2013 and will be coming to Ireland in March 2016. I got info from Christy Roche (very helpful) about my ancestors immigration in 1825. I was wondering if there are any records from the Catholic church of baptisms, marriages, or deaths from before they left? Michael Roche born about 1781, children: Maurice, Ellen, Patrick, Catherine (Kitty), and James. Townland in 1825--Glenatlucky

My resource book indicates that the RC church for Brigown civil parish is Mitchelstown. Luckily, records for Mitchelstown go back to 1792 for baptisms but unluckily with a gap between July 1801 and September 1814 which may involve some or all of the children of Michael Roche. I checked Roots Ireland and could not find any likely records (those matching your names) for children of Michael Roche.

On July 8th, the National Library of Ireland plans to place all RC parish registers online for free searching. I would look at the Mitchelstown register at that time. Mitchelstown is in the Diocese of Cloyne.
