I would appreciate any information on these families.  Joseph Neill was born in Dublin, March 4, 1795.  He was the son of William Neill who married Mary Nelson.  William went to America but returned about 1790 to be on the Linen Board of Trade.  Joseph married Margretta McClatchy? a scholar and noted singer.  Joseph probably owned a good deal of land or rented it near Ballybay, Co. Monaghan.  They had a daughter Mary Jane who according to her obituary "was converted at Clones in 1845, the stronghold of primitive methodists."  There were 3 boys born after her; John, William and James Joseph.  Margretta died and the family went to America during the famine.

Mary Jane Neill married in America William MacCormac b. March 16, 1824, in Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan not far from Ballybay.  His father was James MacCormac and mother was Mary Milligan.  He became a Methodist-Episcopal minister in America.  It's possible his father James was  a minister, too.  I have no idea.

I would like to know more about them all and what they did while living in the Ballybay, Rockcorry area.
