I agree that it is likely that the Michael Flanagan you located is the father of Dan.

The records for Kilmihil RC parish start in 1849 so Thomas and Michael in the 1901 census in Lissanair were born prior to 1849 which would explain why you can't find them on the baptismal records.

I have recently started the search for ancestors related to Dan (daniel) Flannigan (flanagan) who married a anne cullinan in new zealand 1884.  I am interested particulary in his parents Michael and Mary nee connors.  And related siblings.  My great aunt Anne wrote out what she thought was the family tree but she wasn't 100% certain on michael and mary's children apart from her dad's name.

I am wanting to find out who were daniels older brother's and if he had any sisters, where they resided, families as well as their parents michael and mary.

Would you be able to have a read of what information my great aunt has written and let me know if you can be of any help in my search.
